I had an epiphany last night.
No duh, right? I mean, after all, that’s the most basic part of social media.
But lately I’ve been too caught up in the whys and hows of social networking that I lost track of what makes social media so much fun.
It’s kind of like writing. Sometimes I get so caught up in producing a well-written article that I get lost in the structure instead of just putting words on paper and enjoying the process…and then I wonder why I’m having writer’s block.
So today, I’m going back to the basics and forget about the mechanics. I’m going to carry on conversations with old friends and hopefully meet some new friends. I’m going to share smiles and laughs and remember why social media exists in the first place: so we can connect with each other.
By the way, if I haven’t connected with you yet on a social network, I’d love to meet you. I’m Teeg on Twitter and Plurk (and most other social sites) and Te-ge on Facebook.

Teeg - nice to meet you!
Nice to meet you too, John!
hey Teeg.. I read your blog and you sound interesting.. nice to meet you!
Social media nowadays often pave the way to have a good business. Some businessmen post write ups about their products and soon get inquiries then eventually generate sales. Exciting, isn’t it?
Hi sisena, great to meet you as well!
