1~ Spring Into Action

Take these last few weeks and make a list of things you want to accomplish this spring. Maybe, it is time to start saving money for that trip this summer, or begin organizing a small weekend getaway for you and the family. Whatever you plan to do, it is time to take action and make it happen. Some fun things to consider may be changing up your workout regiment, spicing up your diet with some new recipes, or planting flowers to bring in the spring.

2~ Spring Cleaning

Once you are organized and have everything set in motion, it is time to clean up your life. This isn’t just about breaking out the shorts and packing up the sweaters, this is cleaning up those dusty areas that have been lingering in the back of your mind. Break it down to the key areas of your life - family and friends, health, career and finances, and so on. Put the key elements into columns and then underneath each write the pros and cons and then a solution beside the cons. Any issues will, of course, not be solved right away but you will be amazed at how good it feels to have a plan.

3~ Spring Is In The Air

We tend to get caught up in our own lives from time to time, so it is a good idea to take a step back and focus on your environment, and see what you can do to help. There are the basics - recycling, planting a tree, but let’s try to think outside of the box. First, brush up on your current events, be aware of what is going on in the world, but this time, rather than simply forming an opinion on the matter try thinking of what you can do to help. You may not be able to end rioting in Tibet, or end the war, but you can learn from the mistakes of others and make others aware of a better way to go about the problems our world and environment are facing. Start a blog and write about it, or start an idea book - you never know when the opportunity will come when you can actually use one. More than anything, be positive and keep an open mind.

4~ Spring In Your Step

Rejuvenate your body this spring, actually take the time to pamper yourself. You don’t have to spend extra money to do this, or book your nearest spa, just use what you have and take some time for you. If you’re going to be doing all these good deeds, you deserve to be refreshed. You don’t have to set a whole chunk of time aside one day and hope to get this done, notice an opportunity and take it - this way you are more likely to have the time and you can do it several times throughout your day. Have breakfast on the porch rather than in the kitchen or in your car, on your lunch break, grab a panini to go and have your lunch in the park and then take a nice walk.

5~ Spring Break

By this point, once you have cleaned up your life, helped save the world, and stopped to smell the roses - get out of town. You may not have the money or the time to take a huge vacation, but try to get away for just one day, at least. Get a friend and drive a few towns over just to try out some great restaurant you heard about, take pictures - just don’t think about anything but taking time away, it will help you to feel alive, spontaneous, and free.
