0 Comments 06 April 2011

With the disaster in Japan, the need for donations for disaster clean up and to help provide basic necessities to the Japanese people is dire, but finding a method of donation that you like can be difficult with the multitude that have come about since the disaster. Here are some ways you can donate, from the more obvious to some you may not have known about.

The Red Cross

The Red Cross allows you to choose Japan or another area for your donation. The Red Cross has a long history of helping people in need and is always a reputable place for sending your donation.

Lady Gaga’s Prayer’s for Japan Bracelet

The Prayer’s for Japan Bracelet was designed by Lady Gaga. At $5 the bracelet and all proceeds go to the relief fund. She has a large fan base of “little monsters” in Japan, so if you like Gaga’s music, this bracelet is a way to help fellow fans in Japan get some help.

Café Press Japan relief t-shirts

With Cafepress, $10 of the $15 spent on each t-shirt will go to the Japan relief effort. Like the bracelet, the t-shirts are a visible show of your support of the Japanese people in their time of need and you get an affordable t-shirt out of it. It’s a win-win.
