About six million pregnancies happen in the United States every year. That’s a whole lot of babies! Many expectant mothers are excited for their new bundle of joy to arrive, however, it’s not always sunshine and puppies when it comes to pregnancy.

Unfortunately, nearly two million pregnancies a year are lost. About 600,000 of them are miscarriages, 1.2 million are abortions, and 64,000 are lost due to Ectopic pregnancy.

Postpartum depression and morning sickness are also side effects that plaque mothers and mothers to be. Postpartum depression affects 11 percent of mothers and more than half of all pregnant women experience morning sickness.
