2016 is off to a great start when it comes to social media. Already there have been four big conferences this year that have Rocked the Blogs, Shown off Strategies, and demonstrated how digital marketing is changing the face for business.
Although a few conferences have already come and gone, according to Neil Schaffer, if you want to keep your finger on the pulse of social media, a social media conference is a great way to go.
As a mom, I know it’s hard to get away but if you can and you’re looking for a killer conference that will take your business to the next level, I have rounded up 8 conferences that are still open for registration and look to be filled with excellent information from the best in digital marketing.
Social Tools Summit – April 12, 2016 in Boston, Massachusetts -
This event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Boston and will cover topics such as social selling, influencer marketing, content marketing, social media ROI, visual social, listening, and social analytics.
Social Media Marketing World – April 17-19, 2016 in San Diego, California -
This is personally the one conference that I would like to go to. Not only is Neil Schaffer one of the speakers but over 100 of the world’s top social media marketing professionals will be there too. Hob nob with the likes of Michael Hyatt, Darren Rowse, Amy Porterfield, Mari Smith and Chris Brogan at the gorgeous bay front San Diego Convention Center. The cool thing about this conference is that it is such a big deal that if you can’t go they are offering a virtual opportunity to still be a part of all the workshops that will be focusing on content strategy and social media tactics.
Social Media Camp – May 5-7, 2016 in Victoria, British Colombia, Canada -
This conference sounds lovely. I have never been to Canada but I hear it is so beautiful. Evidently it is Canada’s largest social media event and has been going for seven years.
Content Marketing Conference – May 17-19, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada -
I don’t know about you but I love Las Vegas! The lights, the action, and oh yea….the conference. Held at the Rio All Suite Hotel, this conference is for those that can’t wait for the annual Content Marketing World in the fall. The focus is mainly social media and content strategies and will have a more intimate group of only 300 in attendance.
Social Shake-Up – May 24-25, 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia
Social Media Today, the host of the Social Shake-Up Conference, assures us that it is time to come to grips with the fact that social is the soul of digital and even though it is part of the broader conversation in the enterprise, it the responsibility for driving the social strategy, from the CEO on down.
Corporate Social Media Summit – June 20-21, 2016 in New York, New York
More of a brand focused summit, this conference gives you a unique opportunity to learn from, and network with, senior leaders from the biggest brands in the world. Over 350+ corporate peers will discuss the pillars of social success in 2016. Topics like integration, analyzation, engagement and innovation makes this conference all about the customer.
Content Marketing World 2016 – September 6-9, 2016 in Cleveland, Ohio
So I would not necessarily be chomping at the bit to go to Ohio but to be a part of the largest content marketing event on the planet, I would! Held at the FirstMerit Convention Center of Cleveland, this conference promises to be the one event where you can learn and network with the best and the brightest in the content marketing industry. Early bird registration is now open and new speakers and workshops are being posted every day as this event shapes up to be this biggest social media event in 2016.
INBOUND 2016 – November 8-11, 2016 in Boston, Massachusetts
I have actually never heard of this conference until now but I’ve got to say….it sure is shaping up to be a big one. INBOUND’s purpose is to provide the inspiration, education, and connections you need to transform your business. They do this through inspiring keynotes, innovative talks, educational breakouts, hands-on lessons, and tons of networking. And it just so happens that some of their topics will include things like email, blogging, design, SEO, CRM, sales, leadership and best of all humor just to name a few. Hmmmm, Boston should be beautiful this time of the year.
There are several other smaller conferences that Neil has listed that you can check out on his blog. But for the most part, the ones that I have listed are very big, very informative and guaranteed to take your business to the next social level. I hope to see you at one of these conferences in the near future and if not, perhaps we will virtually meet some day in the wide world of digital marketing.
